Many on-campus and off-campus services are available to assist instructors in the printing and distribution of course packs. It is important to make sure all materials included in a course pack have been checked for copyright clearance before they are sent to a printing service. Library liasions from MSU Libraies will be able to assist you in obtaining and identifying the necessary copyright clearances.
Course pack printing and distribution services:
MSU Printing Services, an on-campus unit, will:
- produce and bind course packs
- distribute course packs for sale at MSU copy centers or at the MSU Bookstore
- archive course packs for easy reprinting
In addtion to printing services, MSU Printing also provides copyright services. They will evaluate clearance needs, verify the bibliography, contact rights holders to request duplication rights, provide a priced bibliography that shows what individual students will pay to use each item specified, process payment of all permissions fees and royalties, and archive a bibliography for quick clearance year after year.
Student Book Store, on Grand River, East Lansing, will:
- produce and bind course packs
- distribute course packs for sale at the East Lansing SBS bookstore
- provide online-ordering for distance students
- provide CD and media duplication
